My understanding is base coat clear coat doesn’t last as long unless it’s baked in a cure room. Some say single stage dulls faster, but it can be polished out. I’ve also read about putting a clear coat over the single stage. Thanks for any help.
26/03/2016 Which includes your reducer temp, your clear coat activator/hardener temp. When spraying single stage enamels the same apply with reducer and activators. You need to make sure that you are using the correct additives when painting in certain temperatures.

01/01/2020 At this point, what you can do is let it cure for about two weeks. Then, sand it down with 800-grit and get it all scuffed up. Then, spray two heavy coats of clear coat on it. This way, you don’t need to redo it with single stage.

25/06/2008 IF you paint black, go with bc/cc. Single stage black, will drive you nuts when you go to wet sand it, because it will show EVERYTHING!! The clear is a little bit softer so it wheels out very easy. The trick to black, is get it smooth before paint. If you don't use a sealer, I would lay down 3 coats of paint, wetsand it with 1500, lay down 2 more coats of paint, then clear it.
